Archidpanel EDHMR is manufactured to a density of 850–900 kg/m³, with a minimum modulus of rupture of 32–35 N/mm² — the measure of how much bending stress the board resists before it fails. Water absorption is held to just 5% after two hours of soaking, and linear expansion in humid conditions is kept to a minimum, which is what actually protects a shutter or a cut-out from swelling out of shape through a monsoon season. Screw-withdrawal strength holds up under frequent opening and closing, which matters more on a drawer front over ten years than any single spec sheet number does on its own.
Termite, Borer and Fungus Resistant by Design
Because Archidpanel EDHMR is a homogeneous resin-bonded panel rather than a layered wood veneer, it doesn’t offer termites and borers the same entry points that raw or poorly sealed wood grain can — and it’s manufactured to resist fungal growth in humid, enclosed spaces such as kitchen and wardrobe carcasses. Cut edges should still be sealed or banded on-site, since an unsealed edge is the one place moisture can work into any engineered panel, this one included.
